Data sources
The pins on our maps come from open data. Here is where, and under what terms.
Where our map data comes from
- OpenStreetMap contributors: places, addresses and boundaries found by search. Open Database Licence.
- Overture Maps Foundation (places, release 2026-09-23.1): a few place coordinates for stops OpenStreetMap does not list. Overture records may carry CDLA-Permissive-2.0, Apache-2.0 or CC0-1.0, set per record; we keep each pin's own licence on file.
- GeoNames: city names and locations. Creative Commons Attribution 4.0.
What on Reveldays comes from it
The pin shown on the map for a stop, nothing more. We take individual coordinates, not a copy of a dataset. For our own guides we keep each pin's source and licence on file. Opening hours, prices, photos and ratings never come from these sources.
Photos are not map data: each one carries its own credit and licence where it appears, and we crop and resize them for display.
