What TripIt does well
- It's been reading booking emails longer than almost anyone else in the category, and its parsing covers a very long list of airlines, hotels and car-hire sites.
- TripIt Pro's real-time flight alerts — gate and delay changes, alternate-flight suggestions — are a genuinely mature feature; the alternatives, us included, don't match it yet.
- The app works well offline once a trip is loaded, which matters at an airport with no signal.

How to move your bookings over
Forward the booking confirmation emails you still have to your Reveldays import address — each one files into the right trip.
For bookings you no longer have the email for, upload the confirmation PDF or add the details by hand.
TripIt doesn't offer a data export, so there's no file to import — moving over means re-forwarding or re-adding each booking, the same as switching to any alternative in this category.

- Is there a free TripIt alternative?
- Yes — several, including Reveldays. Most, including TripIt itself, offer a free plan and reserve extra features for a paid tier; Reveldays keeps the whole tracker free.
- Is TripIt Pro worth it?
- If you fly often and want real-time gate and delay alerts, yes — that's Pro's strongest feature and the alternatives don't match it yet. If you mainly want your bookings organised and want to see what a trip cost, a free alternative may cover what you need.
- Can I export my trips from TripIt?
- TripIt doesn't offer a bulk export. Moving to another tool means forwarding or re-adding your bookings there.
